Tuesday 14th July 2015
It was Bastille Day but no one cared which was fine with me!
Beautiful view at sunrise again from just outside of my tent.
This is a “cabana” which was just being built and can accommodate 2 to 3 people.
View of the bar from the toilets
Fireplace and the view behind
I decided to go to “Los Pinos” lookout for the sunrise and follow these indications.
It took me about 45 minutes indeed to get to Los Pinos. From there I could see the view towards Santa Marta.
On the other side of the road was a view towards some other mountains.
And the view towards Pico Bolivar and Pico Colon in the far background.
It was early morning and the birds were out like this green one.
Or this other one with red hat.
Or this blue one.
There was also some cool butterfly.
I came back in time for breakfast. It was Allan´s birthday and in Colombia the tradition is to crack an egg on your head on your birthday.
And add some flour and ketchup on top!
It was another chill-out day. On the sofas…
At the pool
We played a photo competition of trying to catch a shot of one of the two dragonflies constantly hovering over the pool.
That bird nearby seemed to constantly be on the look-out for the dragonfly too.
And people chilled at the fireplace.
And in the Big Hammock.
Or in chairs, simply enjoying the view.
Cats and dogs too were chilling out, enjoying the sun.
In the afternoon, the humming birds paid some visits to the flowers near the brekky area. That bird is so quick! I tried to grab some shots with speed on 1/4000 seconds but the bird moves constantly, by the time you focus it is gone again!
Such a beautiful bird.

Wed 15th July 2015
I decided to stay and volonteer for one week. My first task that day was to be the night bar from 4pm to 11pm with Joshua. Rest of the day went by easily in a smooth chilled manner doing absolutely almost nothing. 🙂
